M2 Geospatial is an Irish geospatial consultancy that works nationally with public bodies and operators across Ireland and the UK.

Does M2 Geospatial work with ArcGIS or QGIS?

Both. We design and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments, and we work fluently in QGIS, PyQGIS, PostGIS and GeoServer. Most engagements end up using both stacks.

Can M2 Geospatial replace our InfoPath forms?

Yes. We replace legacy InfoPath form systems with an offline-capable mobile and web platform that handles case management, multi-stage approvals, and integration with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and Power BI. Open-source core, no per-user SaaS fees.

Does M2 Geospatial offer AI services?

Yes — applied machine learning for spatial problems: imagery classification, prediction, natural-language access to spatial data and ML-driven validation. It is a current growth area for us; we pick tools that fit the problem rather than chasing the trend.

Offline-capable Android capture for soil samplers, GPS-fixed records, lab integration and central QA dashboard. Tens of thousands of samples per season.

Field-to-record pipeline with sampler audit logs, automatic parcel-fix and lab handoff. Replaced a paper plus spreadsheet workflow that couldn't keep up with the regime.

Replacement of an InfoPath inspection system. Mobile and web forms, three-stage approval workflow, automated escalation, SharePoint integration.

Inspectors capture on phone offline, cases route to area engineers and then to a regulatory sign-off step. Audit trail and PDF generation built in.

Field-collected condition data linked to a PostGIS asset register. Survey-to-as-built workflow with long-term archival exports.

Designed so that, ten years on, an engineer can open a record and trace it back to the original survey, GPS fix and inspector.

How do you typically start an engagement?

A short discovery call to understand the brief. From there, a scoping piece sized to the work — anything from a half-day review to a couple of weeks of structured discovery. Fixed-price or time-and-materials from there, your call.

Do we have to switch to ArcGIS, or can we stay on what we've got?

Stay on what you've got. We work daily in both Esri and open-source stacks and don't push one over the other. The right stack is the one you can defend in three years.

We've an InfoPath estate to migrate. What does that look like?

Audit first — what's in there, what's still used, what logic is worth keeping. Then a like-for-like replacement on an offline mobile and web platform with approvals, escalation and a real audit trail. Integrates with SharePoint and Microsoft 365. No per-user SaaS fees.
